February is nearly over. We’re 1/6th of the way through the year. Remember the goals you set 60 days ago? Are you also 1/6th of the way to achieving them?
Let me lay it out for you:
If you wanted to lose 20 pounds this year, you should already be down by more than 3.
If you wanted to read 30 books this year, you should already have 5 on the shelf.
And if you wanted to grow your business by 20 percent, you should have already grown by 4.
Eye opening, isn’t it?
Last month, I encouraged all of you to keep your eyes on the summit. To climb with determination and only occasionally glance back. Well, now I’m encouraging you to pause for a just a second and take in your surroundings. Are you on track? Are you making progress? Are you even heading in the right direction? If not, it’s time to adjust.
Don’t wait until December to reflect on 2016 and realize how far you’ve come–or worse, how far you have to go.
Here’s a tip: If you have a hard time keeping your head in the game, set a reminder on the first day of each month. That way, every month, your calendar will remind you to review your goals and get back on track.
Take the time. Make the hard decisions. And press on.
