Out of my brain on the 5:10
Win a Free iPhone 3G!! We’re teaming up with Fuel My Blog to scan the blogosphere to find what’s the coolest, craziest, most creative thing the blogging community does at 5:10. No, we don’t want your email address so that we can sell it. We don’t need you to send the obligatory self-addressed stamped envelope. Heck, we’re not even asking you to bend over backwards (although points will be awarded for dexterity)….we just want to give a steamin’ hot iPhone 3G away!
Perhaps you’re living under a rock, and haven’t heard about the 3G yet? No worries, we got your back! The iPhone 3G is more or less the answer to all your 2003 prayers. Why do I need to pack my palm, my phone and my ipod? Oh, and just for kicks and giggles, let’s toss a GPS device in the sidebag as well. Say it with me now, just like we used to do in ’03….”Why do I need to carry all this junk in my trunk…when will someone make just one device that packs all this firepower in one sidearm”? Awww yiy boy…the new iPhone 3G is all that, AND a bag o’ chips!
Oh, did we fail to mention that we want to give one away? Come on down folks….you’re the next player in the TSheets “It’s 5:10 somewhere” contest!
So here’s the lowdown.
5pm is possibly one of the most celebrated times all around the world. You’re free. Great God almighty, I’m free at last! Granted, at 10 after 5 you may or may not be calling it a day, but by most standards you’re free to go if you so choose. And this is exactly what we want to hear about. How do you rock it at 5:10? What’s the coolest, craziest, most creative thing you do at 5:10? Tell us all about it…maybe you load up the iPod and have your favorite DJ slam your subway ride home? Is 5:10 the time that you slip the wingtips under the desk, strap your Specialized shoes on and blaze through commuter traffic all the while chasing Lance Armstrong along the Champs-Élysées? Send us as many entries as you’d like. Talk to us!
This competition isn’t just for crafty wordsmiths. Tap your inner Ansel Adams; take a picture. Spielberg ain’t got nothing; shoot a video. Maybe you ARE the next John Steinbeck; write a blog about what you do at 5:10pm. Once you’ve crafted your masterpiece, hit us up via the comments section on our blog and let us know about your entry. We’ll be making a list, checking it twice, and posting all entries on our site for others to see, comment on or call you out. Word.
On July 24th top Time Scientist, Matt Rissell, (aka CEO of TSheets.com), will announce the iPhone winners during the final award ceremony with Brandon Zehm, CTO of TSheets.com.. Our top two timewarpers will announce the final winner of the contest.
All entries must include:
- Something indicating that it is 5:10pm (examples = Picture with clock in the background, Video with clock, or blog posted at 5:10pm). Rockin’ a Flava Flav style clock is HIGHLY encouraged.
- A link labeled “time tracking” linked to http://www.tsheets.com and a comment on this page so that we can find your entry.
You’ll score mad props from the judges by getting the most views or comments on your entry or if you give a shout out to TSheets. Props where props are due, but ultimately the most creative/crazy/cool post will land the ice.

Every evening, rain or shine, I have to leave home with my semi invalid wife to a park near by for her daily dose of exercise, which is a walk to and from the park as well as a short walk once we are inside and she has rested for a while. While at the park, I too take a brisk walk for 30 to 40 minutes while my one and only sits and waits for me or chats with some other friends who land up there every evening. I would find it extremely odd to take a photograph of myself and my wife on our way to the park at 5.10pm.
What do I do?

@rummuser = You can always write a blog about it. Just set the post time to 5:10pm and make sure you have the words “time tracking” linked to the TSheets.com webpage.

I am surprised and happy to hear that I was the winner. I want to thank Matt and Kevin. I want to thank TSheets and FuleMyBlog.
Some of the other people did a great job and I am sorry they did not win but am VERY happy that I won an iPhone.
I will put it to good use. I will be posting to my blogs as I travel around and if we have a hurricane (I am in Miami) I can keep track of the weather and post to my blog.
In October I going to take a vacation in Washington DC and I can use the iPhone to find my way around DC and post to my blog.
So I will get good use out of the iPhone.
Thanks again to everyone,
Jim Howard
