The Senior Software Engineers at TSheets design and develop brilliant new features, high performing functionality, and rock-solid application stability.

Essential functions:
You will be involved in all phases of the software lifecycle, including working with product managers to define products (specification), leading architecture and technical project plan discussions with small teams of engineers (design), directly contributing to the development of the software as well as reviewing the work of junior engineers (coding); and successfully moving an application through the development, QA, and production stages (deployment). Must have a deep understanding of web application development and experience with PHP, MySQL, AJAX, and Javascript and some HTML/CSS. Experience with Linux, SSH, Subversion and related tools is a benefit. Responsible for proactively seeking out and helping to minimize pain points within the infrastructure and code base of the company’s application. Responsible for maintaining currency with the latest technologies and introducing them as needed into the company’s infrastructure.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
• Five (5) years progressive experience in software development.
• Experience must include two (2) years in working within the LAMP development and Javascript environment; including, Linux, Apache, and MySQL
• Experience must also include database design and performance optimization as well as proficiency in data structures and algorithms.
