Connecticut-based Designs for Health manufactures and distributes nutritional supplements to healthcare practitioners across the nation and the world. With the motto, “science first,” the company recently began to look for a more scientific way of tracking time for the independent contractors spread throughout the United States.
Five months ago, the company found TSheets, a time tracking software application that changed the paper-filled course of business as usual.
“TSheets allows our contractors to earn activity from us by doing certain sales activities,” says Phil Lizbatte, National Sales Director at Designs for Health. “So for instance, when calling out on a doctor who doesn’t yet buy our products, a contractor can log in at the doctor’s office, label it a cold call in TSheets, and bill us for the cold call. In the notes section, they can record the interest the doctor has.”
Designs for Health has found that TSheets allows the company to build deeper and better relationships, with both contractors and the healthcare clients they serve.
“Especially with the GPS stamp, we have faith that our contractors are having face-to-face meetings that build our business,” Phil comments. “With more accurate and timely sales notes, it’s a great CRM tool for us. It will be valuable down the road if we have turnover. Someone can pick up the territory, and see the complete history of calls to see how the account was developing.”
Now in full effect though voluntary to use, the new TSheets time tracking system has won over 90 percent or more of the independent contractors working for Designs for Health. TSheets helps cure time keeping issues, so that the entire company can experience better long-term health.
